For Hope, Strength and Guidence

Dear God,

I feel so very alone. Dad passed away in 1990, Mom in 1999, sister Cheryl in 2007, sister Barbara in 2010 and now my partner John, July 13th 2012. This was my first holiday without my immediate family.

I am starting in a new book club at church with 23 other men on the book "Be a Man". Please open my mind to receiving what I need in order to know you on a more personal level.

Please continue to watch over and guide me and give me the strength to find hope again. I ask all this in your Holy Name through you son Jesus Christ.

Amen.

how very sad...

How very sad, you remind me of myself, having lost many relatives and friends in the space of a few decades. I also feel at times lonely.

I offer it to God by way of Jesus, I accept these loses. I call it as a gift from God. How so, you may ask. Well, we will all meet in heaven some day soon. But in the mean time we have to live this painful experience, one day.

At your book club, make it a point to ask if any member feels like you do. This way a support group for each other can be made.

Deep sharing about similar things can bring healing to many. Ask and you shall receive.
