Seraphim Angels, God's
highest ranking servants.

The Seraphim Angels pertain to the highest choir of Angels. They are the most perfect and glorious creatures belonging to the spirit world.

These marvelous creatures are absorbed in perpetual love and adoration and stand immediately around the throne of God.

Usually we can see them painted in red color and sometimes you can see them depicted holding burning candles.

The prophet Isaiah
saw how they look like.

The prophet Isaiah tells us about a vision he had while being in the temple of God. He describes to us how he sees God sitting on the throne of His Glory. And on each side of the throne, he saw mysterious guardians.

Each one of these guardians having six wings: two of them to cover their faces, two to cover their lower extremities and the other two wings they use to fly with.

He continues telling us how these Seraphim Angels are calling: ”Holy, holy, holy, Yahweh of hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”

Then one of them flew towards Isaiah and touched and purified his lips with a piece of live coal he had taken from the altar.

Then he said to him: “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

The Lord sent this Seraphim to Isaiah to take away his iniquity and purge his sin, before sending him as His prophet.

These are thus the Angels that are related with holiness of God. They are also related to sacrifice and cleansing.

The fallen angel
and his followers.

Theologists have the theory that the fallen angel must have pertained to these highest ranking creatures of God.

This highly intelligent spiritual being has chosen not to serve God and by doing so he caused a chaos to happen in Heaven.

Why does this old serpent hate us, human beings so much?

Because we, dear sisters and brothers in Christ, are destined to occupy the empty places he and his followers left in heaven!

And for so many more reasons, that you will find in the book: the Mystical City of God, by Ven. Mary of Agreda.
