Faith Hope Love, the three Theological Virtues

Faith Hope Love! These virtues  are not to be kept apart, because together they form the Three Theological Virtues, infused by the Holy Spirit of God, in the soul of a baptized person.

But in order to give a better explanation, we will separate them for this matter.

The Word of God teaches us this, according to the Virtue of Faith:

“ Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1

The heavenly Virtue of Faith is a God-given Gift which makes us able to believe that God exists. By Faith we have the power to accept whatever God reveals simply because He reveals it. We do not doubt that what He says is so!

By virtue of this Gift we can have trust in Him. We know that our God is an awesome God that holds everything in the palm of His hands.

“ And without Faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” - Hebrews 11:6

We as Catholics must keep and profess our faith, without fear of being rejected, because it is necessary for our salvation.

“ Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven” - Matthew 10:30-33

Thus Faith Hope  Love are the three Theological Virtues, infused in our Souls by God through The Holy Spirit.

Let's do  everything that is in our abilities to keep these Virtues deeply active in our lives, giving them the  opportunity to continue developing each day, until we reach the grade of perfection for which we have been predestined.

God does not want no one to be lost eternally. This is why He bestows all kinds of Gifts and Graces upon His people. We have to be diligent and make use of them, together with a prayer life that pleases our Father in Heaven.
