Traditional Catholic Prayers

All of us know a couple of Traditional Catholic Prayers! Since we were little children we were taught some of these Basic Supplications.

Personally, I have always liked the Act of Love and the Act of Faith.

Act of Love

O my God, I love you above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all love.

I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me, and I ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen

Act of Faith

O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your Divine Son became man and died for our sins and that he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches because you have revealed them, who are eternal truth and wisdom, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die.  Amen.

These are Basic Devotions that we have been taught by the Holy Institution since we were kids. It is very sound practice to help us communicate with God even if we are very young.

As a parent I would recommend you: teach your children any of these prayers which are treasures of our  Faith! Let us contribute to help keep our sound articles of Faith alive by passing them on to the generations to come!

Do you find it difficult to start talking to God? Or you just like to know other Supplications?

I gladly recommend you to get these books, they will help you in your journey to God.
